This challenge is open to student researchers of all ages, experience levels, and fields of study, from around the world. We strongly encourage applicants who: Are looking to apply their current research to the field of cultured meat. Are eager to begin cultured meat research and need a starting point. Are curious to explore IntegriCulture’s food-grade reagents and their applications. Applications are due April 4, 2025. Finalists will pitch their idea April 12 at the 2025 Food 4 Thought Festival at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, on April 12, in person or virtually.There will be at least 3 winners!

"The cultivated meat starter kit includes IMEM1.0 (a base culture medium), iDisper (an agent for cell dissociation), iCoater, (a coating solution for the extracellular matrix), and iFreezer (a solution for cryopreservation). But the flagship product of the starter kit is the Oxy-thru Cultivator. This novel bioreactor uses Sumitomo Riko’s unique materials and precision moulding technology, and is available in 200ml and 1,000ml sizes (with larger capacities under development).
