πΊπΈ NEW HARVEST INC.
Our Work in the US
New Harvest Inc. was founded in 2004.
It is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, IRS #81-0535303.
US donors can make tax-deductible donations to this entity.
It is funded primarily by philanthropy, with some project-specific government grant support.
Our Team in the US
A dynamic and visionary philanthropic environment, combined with a culture of innovation made the US the natural starting point for New Harvest and its ahead-of-its-time mission.
The connection between mission-driven science and marketable ideas and products motivated a large base of donors and community members who were also innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors.
The early support of hundreds of individuals plus the agility of the 501(c)(3) structure enables New Harvest to conduct a lot of impactful, unconventional work such as funding international research and co-founding companies.
Today, this entity continues to be funded primarily by philanthropy, with several of our US-based projects and initiatives are funded entirely by philanthropy or co-designed alongside philanthropic funders.
Government support tends to be project-specific, for collaborative projects alongside multiple other entities. While this funding is less agile than philanthropic support, it helps us connect with local partners and strengthen the local ecosystem.

Our Team in Canada
Canada is a leading exporter of raw agricultural products and has a world-class reputation regarding the quality and safety of its food.
A government-backed appetite for value-added agriculture combined with a culture of collaboration makes Canada a promising place to expand New Harvestβs work.
Building off of early work by Cellular Agriculture Canada, New Harvest Canada has made strides with many key stakeholders across Canada in a short period of time, from innovators in companies and academia, to regulators, policymakers, and funding agencies seeking to support new economic opportunities.
Today, this entity is funded by both philanthropy and federal and provincial government grant support.
Our donors secure our operations and bolster our Canadian programs. Government support tends to be project-specific, for collaborative projects alongside multiple other entities. While this funding is less agile than philanthropic support, it helps us connect with local partners and strengthen the local ecosystem.

π³π± STICHTING NEW HARVEST NETHERLANDS
Our Work in Europe
Stichting New Harvest Netherlands is a registered non-profit foundation, KVK No. 87425165
Stichtings in the Netherlands cannot issue donation receipts to donors.
It is funded primarily by government grant support, with some foundation and philanthropic support.
Our Team in Europe
Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) is a term describing scientific research and technological development processes that take into account effects and potential impacts on the environment and society.
It is a concept adopted by the EUβs key research funding programme, Horizon Europe, and an important policy narrative. New Harvest saw so much alignment with the concepts of RRI that we have adopted the term into the titles of all of our Regional Directors.
In Europe there is a strong culture of collaboration and policy engagement with independent, non-corporate voices like New Harvest. Many independent regional cellular agriculture groups have formed across Europe, and we have seen early investments in public-private initiatives and efforts to derive unbiased information to guide policymaking.
While the Netherlands was an obvious node to operate out of given its historical connection with cellular agriculture, cellular agriculture technology, its supply chains, and regulatory policy affecting these require work across borders.
Today, this entity has already secured EU and foundation support. This support tends to be project-specific for collaborative projects alongside multiple other entities. While this funding is less agile than philanthropic support, it helps us connect with local partners and strengthen the local ecosystem.
