Haley Wolgien-Lowe

Haley is a scientific researcher and communicator with a MSc in Bioresource Technology from the University of Alberta. She has strong roots to Canada and the Prairies and has been involved in Edmontonβs research and innovation scene for over 10 years, contributing to R&D and commercialization of consumer health products and alternative food solutions.
A natural leader with big ideas and a builderβs mindset, Haley is loved by innovators and feared by small boxes and the status quo. Looking for answers to the biggest questions, she strives to build on βwhat isβ toward βwhat could beβ. She is passionate about science communication and knowledge mobilization and is committed to facilitating the transfer of scientific advances into the public sphere where they can improve the world around us.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Haley volunteers with the Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research and is active in the community as a speech mentor and advocate.
